Once, during a thoughtful dialogue, a profound question arose:
“With so many religions in the world… each claiming their path is the only truth, how do we understand God? Who is the real God?”
It’s a question that has confused seekers for centuries.
Radhanath Swami responded with a perspective rooted in both personal experience and timeless wisdom.
As a young seeker, he traveled across countries, meeting people of different faiths, each convinced that their understanding of God was the only valid one.
If you are born in one place, you inherit one idea of God. In another place, a completely different one.
So the question remained:
Is truth divided… or are we simply seeing it through different lenses?
Then he came across a beautiful teaching inspired by the Bhagavad Gita - Just as there is one sun in the sky known by different names in different parts of the world, the source of all light and life is one.
In India, it is called Surya. In other countries, it has other names.
But the sun itself is not divided.
It shines equally on everyone.
In the same way, the Supreme Truth - the source of everything is one.
But it is experienced, understood, and expressed in different ways across cultures and traditions.
God is not limited by language, geography, or identity.
He shared how, through his own journey, one divine truth revealed itself to him in the beautiful form of Krishna.
But that same truth, he explained, reveals itself differently to others -
as Allah to a Muslim, as Jesus to a Christian.
Different names.
Different forms.
One God.
